Maybach Exelero

Maybach Exelero – Bought By Hip-Hop Artist Birdman For $8 Million1
The art of frivolous consumption is back. What is a cool $3 million dollars for a BUGATTI Veyron EB 16.4 or a Koenigsegg Agera R when you can splurge $8 million dollars for a Mayback Exelero? That is exactly what hip-hop artist Birdman did recently. The frequent collaborator to Lil’ Wayne posted a photo of the car via Twitter with a cryptic statement “8million 0n a whip all red.blievetht.custom made.ymcmb” about a week ago. It was also the concept vehicle’s last sighting since its debut in 2005.

A revival of a legendary vehicle – a Maybach used German tire maker Fulda to test its high-performance tires. Unfortunately, like so many historical artifacts, it was lost during the height of World War II. With introduction of its new high performance tire line, the 315/25 ZR 23, Fulda asked Maybach once again to create an one-of-the-kind vehicle. The result was the Maybach Exelero Billed as “…elegance and first-class quality of a high-end limousine with the powerful suppleness of a sports coupé…”, the 2.66-ton Exelero achieved a speed of 218 mph on the Nardo test track, thanks largely to it V12 turbocharged engine with an output of 700 horsepower.

While Maybach and Fulda have not confirm or deny the purchase by Birdman yet. In his subsequent Twitter updates, the hip-hop artists mentioned on painting the car red. It is to be seen if the extravagant vehicle will make a cameo on Birdman’s next music video or concert…
